Greetings, fellow Beagles (and honorary canine friends)! , I’m here to share my best tips for training those unpredictable humans. Let’s face it, they need some guidance, and who better to teach them than us, their trusty, adorable companions?
Below are my foolproof techniques, paired with snapshots of me and my human to inspire your own training adventures.
1. The “Puppy Eyes” Strategy
Humans are powerless against our big, soulful eyes.
Want a treat? Tilt your head slightly, widen your eyes, and stare into their soul. Add a small tail wag for maximum effect. They’ll melt faster than an ice cube in the sun!
2. Perform a Trick First
Humans love when we “work” for our rewards. Sit, shake, or even just stand still looking cute (we’re naturals). Once they’re impressed, they’ll dig into that treat jar.
Yes it does work!
3. Reward Good Behavior (From Them)
When your human gives you a treat or scratches that perfect spot behind your ears, respond with happy wiggles, gentle nudges, and maybe a little lick.
Positive reinforcement trains them to keep up the good work!
